OBGYN Residency - Training Experience

Training Experience

What’s the training experience like in our OBGYN residency?

Our residents build strong clinical skills across every area of obstetrics and gynecology, with increasing responsibility each year. From day one, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that prioritizes learning, wellness and collaboration.

You’ll rotate through labor and delivery, ambulatory clinics, gynecologic surgery and subspecialty services like reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology and maternal fetal medicine. We care for a diverse population with a high volume of complex cases, which means you’ll gain broad experience in both routine and high-risk care.

Surgical training begins early and includes minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic procedures. We’re a teaching hospital, so you’ll learn side by side with medical students, fellows and attendings who are dedicated to education.

Research is part of every resident’s experience. We provide dedicated time and support to help you design and complete a scholarly project during your training. Many of our residents present their work at regional and national conferences, and some have their research published in peer-reviewed journals.

We also support participation in advocacy, global health and quality improvement. By graduation, our residents are confident, capable and ready for fellowship or independent practice.
