Why Tufts Medicine?

What drew me to Tufts Medicine was the strong emphasis on critical care and cardiac anesthesia training, something that really stood out throughout the application and interview process. Just as important, was the genuine sense of warmth and support I felt from the program leadership, residents, and staff. Choosing Tufts MC also means returning to southern New England, bringing me closer to many of the family and friends who’ve supported me along the way.

Our program directors and residents are the most supportive ones that I met on the interview trail, and they excellently balance academic/clinical intensity and wellness while focusing on maintaining a closely-knit community."

Why Tufts Medicine?

I went to Tufts Medical School and always appreciated the attendings and their mentorship as a student and loved the idea of training here as a resident. During medical school, I was actively involved in community engagement and medical education, so continuing my training at Tufts MC allows me to maintain meaningful, long-term connections with the program, the students, and the Chinatown community. Further, the program leadership genuinely prioritizes education and professional development, and I truly want to see us grow, which is exactly what I wanted in a residency program. And the biggest highlight - the Tufts MC residents across programs are tightly knit and like a big, cozy family!

Why Tufts Medicine?

I was particularly attracted to the small class size and close friendships between the residents. Tufts MC has a diverse, yet complex patient population and a leadership team dedicated to the education and growth of the residents. I was also happy to come back home to Boston and have the opportunity to pursue my training while being surrounded by family!
