The Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Tufts Medical Center offers rigorous hands-on training in the heart of Boston. Our five-year ACGME-accredited program gives residents early surgical experience, strong academic mentorship and exposure to the full range of ENT subspecialties.

With rotations at Tufts Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital, you'll care for diverse patients across academic and community settings. A dedicated research block during PGY-3, combined with close faculty support, helps you grow as both a surgeon and a scholar.

Work alongside expert faculty who are invested in your success. From day one, you’ll receive one-on-one mentorship, early exposure to the OR and steady growth in surgical responsibility. Our collaborative environment empowers you to ask questions, take the lead and build the skills you need to thrive in any setting.

Train across Tufts Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital, caring for a wide range of adult and pediatric patients. You’ll gain experience in academic, community and private practice environments while developing expertise across all ENT subspecialties—including head and neck oncology, otology, facial plastics and more.

Take your skills further with a protected research block during PGY-3. You’ll have the time, support and mentorship to pursue meaningful projects in clinical research, education or innovation. Many of our residents present at regional and national meetings, with opportunities to publish and connect with leaders in the field.
