Advanced anesthesiology critical care training in Boston
The Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center is a rigorous, one-year ACGME-accredited program designed to provide anesthesiologists with comprehensive, advanced training in both medical and surgical critical care. Our fellows gain unparalleled hands-on experience managing some of the most complex and critically ill patients in Boston’s top-tier ICUs.
Throughout the fellowship, you will master essential skills ranging from initial patient stabilization and advanced airway management to long-term critical illness recovery and multi-organ support. Our immersive training environment emphasizes clinical excellence, critical decision-making, and leadership development, preparing you to confidently lead multidisciplinary critical care teams.
Since its accreditation in 2018, our program has maintained a selective intake of just two fellows per year. This intimate size fosters personalized mentorship, tailored educational experiences, and strong professional relationships with faculty and peers. At Tufts Medical Center, you’ll train in a dynamic academic medical center renowned for its cutting-edge transplant and trauma services, equipping you for success in both academic and community hospital settings.
