Two-Year Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Training in Boston
The Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center is a two-year, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–accredited program affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. With more than 35 years of experience, we offer advanced, high-volume training in a supportive academic setting.
Fellows gain broad exposure to both inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology. You'll develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex arrhythmias, as well as procedural experience in:
- Catheter ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias
- Device implantation, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy
- Advanced device management, lead extraction and left atrial appendage occlusion
In addition to clinical training, fellows are expected to contribute to education and research. You’ll:
- Teach medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows
- Participate in weekly educational conferences, case reviews and journal clubs
- Engage in clinical or translational research, with support from faculty mentors
Our graduates are well-prepared for careers in either academic medicine or private practice. The program emphasizes procedural competence, scholarship and leadership in the field of electrophysiology—all within a collegial and collaborative environment.
