Overview

The researchers in the Division of Plastic Surgery use innovative techniques to study new ways to improve reconstruction procedures, skin grafts and implants.
Current research

Current research projects include:

  1. Evaluation of Ultrasound guided block of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve in pediatric patients for reconstructive surgical procedures.
  2. The use of the prepuce as skin graft donor site.
  3. Burned ear reconstruction using porous polyethylene implant.
  4. Treatment of post burn dyspigmentation with dermabrasion and thin split thickness grafting.
  5. Continuous catheter infusion of local anesthetic in pain control in postoperative patients. IRB submitted, collaborative research with Ukraine.
