Primary care clinic
internal medicine Primary Care Clinic

We value primary care at Tufts Medical Center and prioritize primary care education for our residents. Each resident has a continuity clinic consisting of their own panel of patients. They work collaboratively with an assigned faculty member who is their dedicated facilitator for all three years of residency.

Continuity clinic site

All clinics are either at Tufts Medical Center Primary Care Boston or Tufts Medical Center Primary Care Quincy. Each resident has one dedicated primary care preceptor for all 3 years.

The Boston practice is the onsite primary care practice at the hospital while the Quincy site is our community-based clinic that is affiliated with the hospital.

Clinic Services

Our clinic is a large practice serving a very diverse patient population with access to services including nursing, case management, addiction psychiatry, social work, pharmacy, and community health workers.

Structure

Residents have 8 weeks a year of concentrated primary care under our modified 2+2 model in addition to continuity clinics during elective rotations. Residents do not have clinics during ward rotations.
