Encourage them to make a difference and join our Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC).
The PFAC is composed of volunteer patient and family advisers, as well as clinicians and administrators. Its purpose is to strengthen collaboration between patients and family members and the health care team and enhance our ability to deliver the highest standard of safe, comprehensive and compassionate health care.
The group held their most recent meeting on Monday, August 8, where they enjoyed hearing hospital and system updates from Lowell General Hospital President and CEO Jody White. Members were also given the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback on a variety of topics.
Some of the goals the group is working on this year include ongoing recruitment efforts, input for the successful launch and adoption of myTuftsMed and myTuftsMed beside, strategizing on wellness initiatives to help our community, supporting prevention and education initiatives related to alcohol and substance use disorders identified from the Lowell Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and more.
