May is American Stroke Month. Do you know there are things you can do with your diet to reduce your risk of having a stroke?

To reduce your risk of stroke with your diet, choose foods that are high in fiber and low in saturated fats, trans fat, sodium and cholesterol. These can help prevent high cholesterol and high blood pressure which can increase your chances of having a stroke. To help you reduce your risk of stroke, our own registered dietitians hand-picked these recipes that feature vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains and are low in unhealthy fats:
