Screenings save lives! Tufts Medicine celebrates National Lung Cancer Cancer Screening Day Saturday, November 9th with walk-in screening hours for those who have obtained a physician referral and insurance pre-authorization.
You should be screened with a low-dose CT scan if you
- Have a 20 pack-year or more smoking history, and
- Smoke now or have quit within the past 15 years, and
- Are between 50 – 80 years old
If you meet the criteria above, talk to your healthcare team about a referral to take advantage of these convenient screening hours. A referral and insurance preauthorization is required BEFORE your screening.
