Join us as a Community Hospice Volunteer!

Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We invite you to join our 4-week course to become a volunteer with our hospice program at Care at Home. Your compassion and support can provide comfort to patients and their families when needed most.

We need volunteers for:

  • Visiting patients: Share moments of connection in our Hospice House, private homes, nursing homes, residential communities and hospitals.
  • Offering companionship: Listen to patients as they share their hopes, fears, feelings and memories. Engage in activities like reading, playing board games or enjoying music together.
  • Respite for caregivers: Help alleviate the stress of caregivers by providing a much-needed break.
  • Specialty services: If you have skills in Reiki, massage, hairstyling or pet therapy, your talents can bring joy and comfort.
  • Music in the Hospice House: Bring your musical talents to enrich the lives of our patients.

Your time and kindness can transform the experience of those in our care. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours a week or a few times a month, every little bit helps.

If you're interested in becoming a community hospice volunteer, please contact our Care at Home Volunteer Services Manager at 339.224.2515 or Tina.Hardy@tuftsmedicine.org.
